May Flowers to Celebrate

Tara had a Dance-O-Rama in San Francisco the first weekend in May, so took a little detour on her way back to Miami and enjoyed a few days relaxing at Sigh-Bar. We slept in every morning and hit all of our favorite spots — hiking the Whitefish Trail, sitting around the fire pit to warm up, ice cream at “Sweet Peaks,” shopping in town, hamburgers at the “Fart & Slobber Inn,” exploring along the railroad tracks, yummy pizza at “Mackenzie River,” and went to a movie. We also discovered a new jogging path along the Whitefish River in town.

I had been watching the tulip garden and trying to guess which would happen first: the last of the snow would melt, or the tulips would bloom, or Tara would arrive? It was close, and the daffodils were blooming, but the tulips didn’t burst open and the last bit of snow didn’t melt until after Tara was gone. No worries — I got the annual photo of Tara posing on Princess Rock!

As it turned out, the tulips bloomed for my birthday, which was a special treat since this was the milestone birthday when the government changed my official status to "senior citizen." WAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
