I was driving home from taking Tara to the airport Monday morning, September 29th, when Lee called to tell me that his sister, Janice Christensen Healey, had passed away. We were not really surprised, as Janice has been quite ill the past while. In fact, there is some relief in the fact that she is no longer suffering the challenges of her physical body. Immediately we went to work planning a trip to the funeral in Utah. We already had tickets for a trip to Utah to attend General Conference, then drive up to Montana for a couple of weeks, but we would have to make some adjustments to those plans. Ultimately, we decided to drive to Utah, then on to Montana and fly home from there. Tara made arrangements to make a quick trip to the funeral, and Amy & Ben decided to bring their girls and also make the trip to the funeral.

We made it to Spanish Fork just in time to change our clothes and get to the funeral home for the viewing Thursday evening. Lee was the speaker at the funeral Friday morning, and gave a beautiful talk. It was such a gorgeous fall day for the burial at the Spanish Fork Cemetery. Although we will miss Janice, I am so grateful for a testimony of the Plan of Salvation and know that we will be with Janice, and all of our loved ones, again.
