One especially tender moment that my sister and I had when my mom passed away was going through her handwork bags/baskets/drawers. Mom never sat down without something to do in her hands. She had several crocheting/knitting projects in various stages which Gloria took home to complete. One of her most recent projects had been knitting little caps for newborns. Gloria had the absolutely wonderful idea to send the Bees some needles, yarn, and instructions to make the little caps, then later this year donate the caps in Mom's name to the Payson Hospital where she passed away. January was the perfect time for me to re-acquaint myself with knitting techniques and get started on this project. I feel like Mom would be so thrilled that we are trying to follow her great example of keeping our hands busy and sharing our talents.
The biggest event of the month was Leo's 3rd birthday on the 26th!! Leo was excited to have both sets of his grandparents, along with the Cosby family and Aunt Tara to help him celebrate.
He had so much fun with a birthday party filled with his favorite lunch favorites, a dump truck filled with chocolate cupcakes, dump truck balloons, and lots of presents.
His wish when he blew out the candles on his cupcake was that "we will all have fun playing together." Happy Birthday to our sweet little 3-year-old feller!!
