Lee and my dad had been talking for awhile about how/when we could move Dad's 1948 Ford tractor up to Whitefish, so Lee jumped at the chance when our nephew, Casey, volunteered to load the tractor on a trailer and pull it up there. Between work and recreation, Casey has had lots of experience pulling loaded trailers, so he was the perfect guy for this task, and we are so grateful that he was willing to help us out. Although it was a quick trip, Casey and his wife, Mandy, were able to leave their boys with their grandma and make the weekend road trip together.
Once "Nils" (alternate spelling for "Neal's" that we affectionately named the tractor!) was tucked in to its spot in the shop garage, we enjoyed showing Casey & Mandy the little town of Whitefish. They are the cutest couple, and we love and appreciate them so much.
There was still an empty spot in the shop garage, but not for long! Now parked next to Nils is "Artie," and Artie's trailer and wagon, of course. It was still rather chilly to ride Artie very far, but we had a great time riding in/around/through the woods together.
We so enjoyed the beautiful mountains and clean, crisp air, and having a break from our busy schedule. Lee worked on his shed/barn project and got it completed to the point that next trip he can start working on the rafters & roof. It was a very successful and productive spring break, but with new toys parked in the garage it was harder than ever this time to lock the gate and head back to Houston!
