Alex is so creative, and had done a great job of crafting the train theme into everything, from a train ticket invitation to a train cake with an engine pulling various types of train cars. She had even used fishing line to suspend from the ceiling white tissue-paper puffs of smoke coming from the engine! And, Leo wore his striped train overalls, of course!
Tara had the weekend free so she made a quick trip over to join the celebration, and Isabelle & Olivia were thrilled to "party" with Leo. Alex made a delicious lunch for everyone before we enjoyed the yummy birthday cake and ice cream. We walked to the park, opened presents, and had such a great time being together.
Leo is such a happy, sweet, and loving little boy. When he comes to our house he loves to stand on the island in the kitchen, and using a wooden spoon, play a symphony on the pots hanging from the pot rack; or, sneak into the bathroom and turn the bathtub hot water off/on! He is always very affectionate and brings such joy to our lives.
