Love and Livi

February is typically the month that feels most like "winter" in Houston, but celebrating one of the best holidays of the year helps to warm things up! I love Valentine's Day!! A holiday that is all about LOVE and celebrated with hearts, flowers, candy, heart-shaped sugar cookies, and all kinds of creative secret gifts -- what could be better?! I did my best to join in the fun with those I love the most.

We celebrate another special holiday in February, Olivia's birthday. We saved an evening for our traditional "birthday date" and Livi made the plans. We started with dinner at Chick-fil-A, then Livi had done the research and knew just where to find a specific LOL doll that she especially wanted. Our last stop was at Sonic for dessert.

On her actual birthday Amy and I joined Olivia for lunch at school, and had a yummy family dinner of Asian take-out after ballet class. Amy baked the brownie cake layers, and Isabelle used a fancy chocolate mousse filling to decorate the awesome birthday cake. We were still not finished celebrating though, until Tara flew over for the weekend and we celebrated with more shopping, a family dinner, and ice cream "snowballs." Olivia has such a delightful and dynamic personality. She always thinks outside the box, and is highly creative. She is a champion of the disabled or disadvantaged, and a friend to anyone/everyone. She can be charming and witty, and is always up for any adventure. She spreads joy everywhere she goes!!
