Fall in the Flathead Valley

Fall is a quick interlude between summer and winter (usually around the Christmas holidays) in Houston, but in the Flathead Valley fall is an entire season...and it is lovely. Sunny but cooler days and downright chilly nights mean long sleeves and sweatshirts, and beautiful fall colors paint the landscape.
We kicked off the fall season with Frodlee Adventure #5. We picked up the Darts and Leifsons at Glacier Airport for a few days of kicking back and sharing the fabulous fall season with dear friends. We loved sitting around the fireplace eating snacks and catching up on all of the news of friends and family. We dubbed Denalee the "Frodlee Tour Bus" and took in the beautiful Flathead Valley. One day we drove around Whitefish Lake, then up Big Mountain to the ski resort, and back to Depot Park for the evening at the Farmer's Market. Another day we drove the Going to the Sun Road in to the summit at Logan's Pass in Glacier National Park, and stopped for dinner at the Huckleberry Patch in Hungry Horse.

We had great fun out at the firepit, taking turns in the swing and making huckleberry pies in the pie irons over the fire.

We took a trip into Kalispell to check out Lee's favorite antique shop, then on to Flathead Lake and lunch at the Pocketstone Café in Big Fork. A great way to enjoy the awesome fall season at Sigh-Bar is to share it with the best of friends.
