Easter was later in the spring this year and by the second week of April we were ready to celebrate. Tara arrived Friday morning, just in time to join Amy and Alex and the kids to color eggs. Since it was stake conference weekend for the Cosbys, and Amy and Ben would be busy with meetings Saturday, we decided to have our annual Easter egg hunt and picnic on Friday afternoon. We roasted hot dogs over the fire on the patio, and enjoyed all of our traditional Easter picnic favorites.
The kids had a great time scavengering the front yard for 100+ plastic eggs filled with treats, $$$, and tokens for special prizes. Alex and Nick had an extra special filled egg for everyone and inside we found an amazing photo...
What an egg-stra special surprise!!! We are all so thrilled to welcome Baby Vernon to our family in October!
Easter Sunday was especially memorable for the Cosby family as Ben was sustained as the second counselor in the Houston North Stake Presidency. We are grateful that Ben is not only a great husband and father, but also worthy and willing to serve.
We celebrated the significance of the beautiful Easter message with our family gathered together for a traditional ham dinner. We shared gifts and all kinds of surprises with each other, and rejoiced in the love of family and the gospel.
