A Holly Jolly Christmas

The entire month of December seems to be one holiday event after another. Besides the usual shopping, cooking, crafting, baking, sewing, wrapping, and more shopping, we enjoyed lunch dates with friends, programs, and parties. One particular special event was seeing Isabelle and Olivia dance in The Nutcracker.
The first trip to the airport of the season was Nick & Alee and their little ones heading to Denver for Christmas with the Vernon family, and the second was to pick up Tara. The Cosby family hosted our traditional Christmas Eve buffet, we had our nativity puppet show, and both Belle and Livi guided us through a Christmas "craft." When we headed home Belle and Livi were preparing a plate of cookies for Santa and sprinkling reindeer food outside. On Christmas morning we unloaded our bulging stockings, then headed back to the Cosby's to see what Santa had brought for the girls. We hosted Christmas Brunch, so after checking out the deliveries at the Cosby house they followed us back home for yummy food and so many gifts to unwrap! Everyone is so thoughtful and generous, and it was so fun to see such great gift ideas! I was totally shocked to receive a new sewing machine from the girls, with their suggestion to take it to Whitefish so I can have some creative sewing time there too!
Tara always brings a new puzzle for us to work on during the holidays, we all went to the movie "Annie" together, and just enjoyed spending family time together.

We celebrated Christmas again with the Vernon family when they returned from their snowy holiday adventure in Colorado, then helped Lee celebrate his 68th birthday with a big family dinner, complete with his favorite ice cream cake (this year ice cream cake cupcakes and cookie ice cream sandwiches from Cold Stone!).

A very merry, holly jolly Christmas!!
